The key to shooting accuracy is proper mechanics.

A player’s shooting forearm should be in the correct pre-launch position – the ninety degree angle with elbow in. I call “squaring off.”

BSI: A passion for improving basketball shooting

After many years of playing high school basketball, attending basketball camps, playing thousands of pick-up games and, maybe most importantly, observing other basketball shooters (good and bad), I became obsessed with trying to answer a seemingly simple question: Why do good shooters miss? Or, phrased differently, how close can a good or great shooter come to perfection – machine-like?

The patented Laser Shooting Trainer (LST) attempts to address this. Mastering a mechanical activity such as a golf swing, pitching a fastball, or shooting a basketball requires lots of repetition. Both the mind and the body (or body parts) have to be working in unison. The LST trains the shooter to visually focus on the path line of the ball, while also maintaining correct shooting form.
